“Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway”
- John Wayne
On Saturday May 18th, I stepped far outside of my comfort zone as I danced in Curtain Call's, “Dancing With The Stars,” at the Palace Theatre. From the beginning to the end, has been a mind-blowing experience, and I am still on a high from it all. There is so much to be appreciative for - the invaluable friendships formed, my deeper emotional connection to the City of Stamford, and a greater insight and appreciation for the importance and benefits of Curtain Call, and its impact on our community.
Thank you to my family, friends and patients for all of your emotional support and your financial contributions towards this fundraising effort. I especially want to thank Jeanne Buckley Peloso, my self-appointed Chief Officer. Without her help, encouragement and insight I wouldn’t have been able to do this. And, of course, I want to thank my mentors Sharon Jerry Collins and Vinnie Fusco for their wonderful guidance and support. Most importantly, to my partner Kelly Nayden, thank you for leading me through this incredible journey. I stand in awe at your amazing patience, talent, ability to teach, and your endless encouragement and trust in me. We had so much fun!!
Curtain Call is Stamford's longest-running and only year-round nonprofit producing theatre organisation. Dancing with the Stars mimicked the popular TV show with behind the scenes video footage us in rehearsal in addition to live performances and commentary by a panel of judges that night.
Check back in a few days for a link to my performance!
